Umesh Radhakrishna is a seasoned global IT leader with over 20 years of experience in technology, product, business, and people leadership roles. As a Senior Director of Engineering at Visa R&D, he is responsible for driving foresight, strategy, innovation, delivery, and operational excellence. Umesh has a successful track record of setting up teams from scratch and mentoring them to become high-performing and self-managing teams that deliver at par with global standards. He has experience in leading and managing multiple global teams to deliver strategic business solutions for engineering organizations while ensuring smooth functioning of daily business operations. Prior to joining Visa, Umesh has worked with some of the leading companies in the technology industry, including Microsoft, eBay, and GE. He has also served as the Head of Data Science Engineering at Salesforce India. Umesh holds a degree in Big Data and Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a degree in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Science, a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology from SMU, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Osmania University. He completed his schooling from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School in Hyderabad. Umesh is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), ITIL v3®, and CTM. He is also proficient in senior software engineering and data science.
